Tips for female CEOs who are passionate about helping other women advance their lives through their unique expertise.
REAL TALK: There’s no shortage of ways to reach your dream clients these days—especially in 2021, where the options are limitless.
There’s email, Facebook, blogs, Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram, and the list goes on.
While you might be tempted to put all your time and effort into one or two platforms, you’re potentially missing out on valuable connections (and transactions).
If there’s one thing I learned about creating a six-figure income—that I can’t preach enough about now—is no matter how small or big your business is, you need a 360-degree marketing strategy…
Especially if you want to create a money-making empire giving you the freedom and flexibility to fly to Hawaii and sip on salted margaritas any time you want. *books flight*
Because here’s the deal: It takes an AVERAGE of eight touchpoints to book a discovery call or sell a digital product.
So, if you’re only posting to the ‘gram, or worse, doing nothing at all, you’re leaving money on the table….and it’s a lot.
Luckily in today’s lesson, I’m diving deep into what exactly a 360-degree marketing strategy is, along with the four key components you need to implement if you want to crush your goals and take your coaching business to the next level.
Think about one of your favorite brands or entrepreneurs…
Do you follow them on social media? Receive their emails? Read their blog? See their ads?
My bet is you’re nodding your head right now. And if that’s the case, then they’re implementing a 360-degree marketing strategy, and you probably didn’t even realize it.
I’m willing to go even further and say they’re one of your favorite brands or people to follow BECAUSE of their marketing strategy.
The magic of being seen everywhere is you have more ways to pique people’s interests and get them salivating over your offers or products.
By implementing a 360-degree strategy, you can consistently deliver your business’s messaging across all touchpoints, platforms, and devices, so you don’t miss out on booking the dream client you’re dying to work with.
Email Marketing
If you thought email was a dying medium, think again! Not only is it one of the most cost-effective marketing strategies, but it’s also one with the highest return on investment (which means more money in your pocket). And who doesn’t like the sounds of that?
Unlike traditional marketing strategies—direct mail, flyers, commercials, and print ads—email marketing opens the virtual doors for meaningful conversations to take place with your dream clients. I highly suggest setting-up a welcome series to make a first great impression and then share weekly or bi-monthly emails so you can continue building trust and providing your audience with value-packed info. I can’t express how priceless the opportunity to communicate directly with your community is, so take advantage of it.
Social Media Marketing
Ah, social media. Whether you obsess over it or hide from it, it’s a necessary marketing component if you want to be seen and booked by your ideal clients. In 2021, it’s not enough to simply post and pray. I see you…
If you want to build brand awareness, create authentic connections and grow your community, you need to create a concrete strategy and integrate it into your overall marketing plan. If you aren’t already using social media to promote your business or you’re struggling to keep up with the ones you’re already on, I suggest putting your effort into only 2-3 channels. Figure out where your audience is and spend your energy building your community there.
Bonus tip: While you don’t need to post a perfectly edited photo or video to build your community, you do need to be consistent. Determine how many times you can post a week and stick to it.
An Effective Website
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: When you’re getting started, you don’t *need* a website to attract your first few paying clients. But with that said, building a professional site that speaks to your personality and coaching style is critical to your long-term success, especially when you’re competing in a sea of coaches.
Think of your website as an online dating profile. It’s often the first place a potential client goes to find out more information about a company—their offerings, mission, values, and overall vibe. This is why you not only need a website, but you need one that makes a first great impression so you can book discovery calls on repeat.
Be honest: How much would you trust a business—especially one you’re thinking of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars with—if they don’t have a website? Exactly…
Content Strategy
Creating content has gone from nice to have to an essential marketing component every successful entrepreneur needs for their business. If you’ve ever asked yourself: “Do I reallllly need to write that blog?”, my answer is a resounding HECK YES!
Not only has publishing content consistently proven to increase website traffic by 55%, but it will also help you:
The more education you provide to potential clients, the more they’ll trust you, the more they’ll understand why they NEED your services, and the more likely they’ll choose you over anyone else. And the best part about creating content is you can repurpose it, so you don’t always have to start from scratch each time. Break your blog post into mini IG lessons or turn it into a Youtube series. I promise it’s worth the added effort!
Is there anything worse than missing out on an opportunity, especially a high-paying one, only because you didn’t come to mind when a client needed your services? I’ll wait…
While creating a 360-degree marketing strategy takes time and effort, it’ll help you close the communication gap, leading to more connections and sales. And don’t worry; you may not need a comprehensive marketing plan in place the minute you open up your virtual doors for business. Start small—focus on the component that excites you the most and build your strategy from there. I promise once you put all the pieces together, you’ll see massive, money-making results.
